The permanent archaeological exhibition provides documentary evidence of the history of the northern slope of the territory between the Cerbaie and the ancient Lake Bientina, through original artifacts (stone tools, ceramics, metals, coins and wooden objects), reconstructions in plastic and educational panels.
There are several sections, as the prehistory section and the Etruscan one, with several evidences of a great historical interest.
The ruins of the wood Roman bridge discovered in the plain of Orentano and the monossile pirogue made in oak (which provide documentary evidences on navigation techniques of ancient origin on the ancient Lake Bientina) are additional archaeological elements of remarkable rarity.
